Frequently Asked Questions:
1 – How will the PADR events be conducted?
To start, the series we will have 8 car fields unless car count dictates otherwise.
PADR events will have one shot qualifying on single day events and 2 session qualifying on 2-day events. (The 2-day qualifying procedure will change to 3 sessions when and if car count and demand dictates)
PADR Events will have a very defined structure.
- Events will be conducted during the day and will try to avoid night racing.
- Events will be conducted in one-day or two-day formats.
- Events will be conducted on Friday and/or Saturday only.
- The PADR will only hold 2 events per month.
- A Summer Break will be taken from the second week in July to the second week in August to avoid the summers hottest temperatures. We want to help racers avoid towing in the heat which should help avoid costly breakdowns. It will also allow families to go on a vacation outside of the racing environment. It will also allow teams to thoroughly conduct a complete maintenance program on the race car, race parts, transporter, and trailers.
A. One Day Events (Prefered) :
- Qualifying at 10am
- Eliminations at 12 noon – 2pm – 4pm (or noon – 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm if racers need more time)
B. Two-Day Events (Prefered):
- Friday Qualifying at Noon and 3pm
- Saturday Eliminations 11am – 1 pm – 3pm
The PADR will hold to this time frame as strictly as possible. We want families and teams to have the time at and away from the track to enjoy the sights and activities of the local community. We also want our part-time professional teams to be able to arrive for the race and leave for home in a timely manner so they are able to use vacation time or time away from work more efficiently to race.
**Note: The PADR may run single-day events later into the evening if a track has a special request. Under certain circumstances, we may consider running later in the day since there won’t be car maintenance to complete in the late evening hours for racing the next day. **
***Note: The PADR is here to help the race tracks accommodate their fans. The above criteria have been successful in the past when Alcohol Racing flourished. However, the racers of the PADR will work with any track to make sure their needs and the needs of their fans are met. ***
